NIKOLAI AARRE

Nikolai Aarre is a Danish product designer based in Amsterdam. He works for international furniture brands, on private commissions and in collaborative projects with fellow designers.

Nikolai studied Architectural Design at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and Product Design at the Royal College of Art in London. He draws inspiration from traditional craftsmanship and engineering. An obsesssion with details and low tolerances allows him to design thin, sleek or just simply very satisfying products.

Having worked with Ulf Moritz for many years, other notable collaborators include Aldo Bakker and Traumnovelle.

Nikolai’s work is in the permanent collection of Vitra Design Museum, Die Neue Sammlung and Domaine de Boisbuchet.
